Can't recommend Me-Gal highly enough. Muriel and the team are incredibly welcoming, the food is consistently superb, and the views across the zoo and Sydney Harbour are magical. Amazing.

Staying at the wildlife retreat we decided to have a relaxing night and not travel for food. So we went to the on site restaurant Me-Gal. We didnt know what to expect but the online reviews and social media pages were promising.
For starters, the view is absolutely amazing, we went on the first night of vivid and to see my city light up, harbourbridge and whole city skyline visible, wow. My Girlfriend from Malaysia was stunned with how beautiful Sydney is at night. Book and ask for a window seat.
We started with the oysters, which were of high standard, followed by the octopus and pork belly as our small dishes. From first bite we shared a smile, it was her best food she had in sydney, so full of flavour and texture. Perfect balance with flavours. The octopus was so tender and really a highlight.
The main was then the half chicken and brocolini on the side, and again... amazing, balance, texture, flavour.
The type of food that brings smiles and will evoke memories for years to come.
i was at a point where i was willing to order everything on menu to see if everything lived up to the dishes i had. Dessert was a no brainer after what we had expereienced, we got the snowball and mont blanc and let me tell you, full of flavour again. They even gave a little birthday Cake to my girlfriend for her birthday and it was choclately coconutty goodness.
A lovely evening, great view, perfect company and food that will live on in our memories and attach itself to each other and the time we shared.
When food gives you a smile at first bite and a look in each others eyes, you know its a winner. Coupled with top service and a view of our lovely city.
